Event Details

Interested in indoor farming and what you can expect for your business? Join Eric Roth who co-founded Chicago’s first licensed aquaponic farm, Greens & Gills and was Director of Agriculture at FarmedHere and Colin Gleeson who was Director of Operations at FarmedHere. They will give you the lowdown on their experiences, the joys and the challenges they faced in indoor growing. Join us!

This presentation will also be at the Institute for Environmental Sustainability on the campus of Loyola University. Kevin Erickson, Sustainable Agriculture Manger for the Institute, will lead a tour of the facility, which includes the IES Greenhouse Lab, aquaponics, and mushroom production areas. If you get there early, there is a café in the same building called Engrained Café which features locally sourced items and is open until 7pm.

Location/Parking: The address for IES is 6349 N. Kenmore Ave. It is near the Granville and Loyola Red line train stations (closest to Granville) and there’s a main parking garage located on the main campus loop (accessed by turning north from W. Sheridan Rd. onto Kenmore) for $7 per vehicle. Cheaper hourly parking is available off Broadway or west of campus. Campus map: https://www.luc.edu/media/lucedu/pdfs-campusmaps/lsc.pdf
