A last-minute change by Weiss Memorial Hospital has necessitated a slight modification to our plans for Thursday’s Rooftop Movie & Mingle Night.  Don’t worry, there will still be tours of the hospital’s spectacular rooftop farm, and we’ll still be treated to the documentary Tierralismo, a talk with Growing Home Executive Director (and AUA Steering Committee Co-Chair) Harry Rhodes about his visit to Cuba’s urban agriculture projects, and delicious snacks, beverages and craft beer from a host of local businesses (see below for more details)!
What’s changed is the venue for the film screening, talk and service of beer: We’ll now be starting and ending the evening at the extra-awesome Institute of Cultural Affairs (4750 N. Sheridan), which has its own exciting urban ag and sustainability projects that we’ll also have the opportunity to check out and learn about!  So, if anything, the event has even more to offer than before!
